Surprisingly, this Gentle Giant isn't ranked very high via AKC. But don't let this discourage you from checking out the Saint Bernard as a family pet. The Saint Bernard is wonderful with children and are constantly deemed the "Nanny" among canines. They flourish in cold weather climates but can easily adapt to warm areas with a little grooming. If you're looking for a safe and giant breed, then the Saint Bernard is a great choice.
