Basenji
Hound Group
Often described as the silent hound because they refuse to bark. But "silent" is very misleading as they do have a voice that sounds resembles a whining yodel. The Basenji is a very smart dog who acts independently and could really care less about strangers. It's almost comical to see their indifference to people they don't know. Basenji's prefer older children and aren't really wired to be in a pack of other dogs.
